Our management team meets weekly to share information from the departments, divisions, and people that make up Texas Regional Bank. Below are a few highlights from our February meetings that you may find helpful:
Now Open in Forney
East Dallas Regional President James Huggins had a successful grand opening for the Forney Loan Production Office (LPO). The event, held on February 29, included a ribbon cutting with the chamber of commerce and a check presentation to FP Assistance. FP Assistance’s mission is to reduce hunger and obesity among children in Texas by being a leader in nutrition education.

Fraud Attempts Continue
Chief Operations Officer Rene Avila reported fraud prevention stats for January 2024. For the month, $432,000 of fraud was prevented by our frontline staff and fraud prevention team. Fraudsters are here to stay; remain alert.
Houston Shines Bright
For the second year, TRB Houston hosted a successful boot-shining event for customers. Lewis Gissel, Houston Regional President, reported that the boot-shining event was hosted as the bank’s kickoff to the Houston Rodeo.

TRB On the Move
Chief Human Resources Officer Cambrea Merriwether provided an update on the successful launch of the Wellable app. Nearly 200 employees joined the initial campaign: TRB on the Move. In this first event, participants were placed into random teams and work together to accumulate points for healthy activities.
