Ten students from universities across Texas are spending the summer with Team TRB, and their journey officially began with Intern Day at our corporate headquarters in Harlingen.
Throughout the day, interns met with leaders from across the organization, gaining a behind-the-scenes look at how departments work together to serve our customers, businesses, and communities. They also heard career advice, leadership insights, and perspectives from executives representing a wide range of specialties across the bank.
A key part of the internship experience is learning how the entire organization works together. Throughout the summer, interns are spending time alongside teams across TRB, gaining hands-on experience while exploring career opportunities in areas ranging from commercial banking and wealth management to finance, technology, marketing, operations, and more.
Chairman and CEO Michael Scaief encouraged the group to be intentional about the opportunities they pursue and the relationships they build throughout their careers.
“We built this bank one relationship at a time. The decisions you make and the relationships you build will help determine where you go.”
The impact of the program continues well beyond the summer. Several former interns have gone on to build careers at TRB, including Financial Analyst Thomas Pearson, whose internship helped shape his professional path.
