Care Mobile® Program Expands Access to Dental Care in Rio Grande Valley

December 10, 2024

TRB has partnered with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of South Texas and Su Clinica to bring the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® program to the Rio Grande Valley. This collaboration highlights a shared commitment to delivering much-needed dental care to underserved communities.

The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® is a 40-foot mobile healthcare unit staffed by a dentist, two dental hygienists, and a support team. Its mission is to break down barriers to healthcare access by traveling directly to schools, Head Start programs, and community centers in Cameron and Willacy counties. The program is expected to provide over 3,200 dental visits annually—around 24 visits per day.

Su Clinica, a trusted healthcare provider in the region, will manage the day-to-day operations of the Care Mobile, ensuring consistent and reliable care for families in need.

TRB has committed $75,000 over the next five years to support the success of the program. “The Care Mobile Program has the power to transform lives by bringing quality healthcare to families who need it most,” said Michael Scaief, Chairman and CEO. “At TRB, we believe that when we invest in the well-being of our community, everyone thrives.”

Supporting community partners like RMHC and Su Clinica reflects Team TRB’s commitment to building healthier, stronger communities, not just in the Rio Grande Valley but across all the regions we serve in Texas. This initiative embodies the values that define Team TRB—fostering community connections and creating lasting impact through collaboration and shared purpose.

Celebrate with TRB in the Rio Grande Valley and help spread the word of this transformative partnership with friends, family, and the people you know.
